Agoraphobia, what an awful affliction-it made me feel badly about mysef (I'm such a wimp not to be able to go out in public or away to other places...) and scared me that my life was so limited and that I'd be limiting the life of those around me, as well. I do hope you get some relief. I've never taken Effexor-and SSRI (Paxil, Lexapro, Prozac) plus a benzo (Xanax) is the only combination that's worked for me. Be encouraged-I spent 3 years in that Hell-and tomorrow I'll be getting on to a plane to CA. 7 Years ago I was so fearful that I actually couldn't even go into a airplane terminal without crying with fear. So, help is on the way!

Didn't the prozac and lexapro hype you up? They did me. Love Phillipa

Lexapro didn't have any side effects except sexual. I started Prozac at 2.5 mg and increased it and it never stimulated me. I found Paxil stimulating, BTW-but in a very good way (self-confidence).

That explains the prozac. I took it when it only came in 20mg capsules it skyrocketed me off the roof. I stopped it immediately and it took three days of xanax to bring me down. And at the time I was very stable working and all. Love Phillipa

Whereabouts? (I'm in California, and want to know if I should hide... ;-) Maybe I should get a propeller beanie, won't that protect me from Babbling in Public?)

I'm here in hot, hot Dublin (near Livermore) at 112F. I've never been somewhere where the breeze makes it hotter-I feel like I'm in a convection oven! I must be doing lots better with the panic and flying thing-we sat on the runway for an hour and I didn't really even notice, since I was reading.
I'll keep my eye out for people with propeller beanies-of course, in CA, that might be every other person...:>}
