Lamictal Side Effects for Phillipa and Jakeman

Posted by Phillipa on July 5, 2006, at 22:31:51

Jakeman and I have just started on lamictal. For treatment resistant depression. Both at 25mg right now. Both of us are having excess saliva. Anyone heard of this as a side effect and anything we can do about it? Is it okay to keep taking the lamictal. Is it a sign of more side effects to come? We both thank-you for any responses. Thanks Love Phillipa and Jakeman

I've taken Lamictal and I didn't have that side effect but I had others.

I had wierd body aches that made me feel like I'd been lifting 80 lbs bags of cement all day.

And I got insomnia.

It also made me feel like I was coming down with the flu.

So many of my other psych meds have such a severe 'dry mouth' effect that it counters this, so I have not experienced it w/ Lamictal. This is a question that your dentist may be equipped to address?
