60 to 90mg cymbalta

Posted by llrrrpp on June 16, 2006, at 13:24:53

pdoc and I decided to increase cymbalta from 60 mg to 90 mg to see if I get a better response.

This mornng I've been sending emails to people telling them that I'm all depressed, (this is the 3rd bad day in a row. 5/7 days this week in depression, only 2 "good days". Take pity on me, blah blah blah... poor llrrrpp.

I've been crying all morning. whew. What a wreck. I did get a few things off my chest in my e-mails. I feel kind of funny, though. Queasy, dizzy.

I'm a mess.
pdoc asked me: so how are you handling the medication?
me: I'm handling the medicine fine, but I'm not handling my life very well right now.

-ll
p.s. just venting. not looking for advice really.

Don't you think your pdoc should know your're true feelings about not handling your life well now? Love Phillipa

Yeah, I did spend a good 20-30 minutes giving him an update on my life. I didn't see my T this week, and I haven't been doing that well, so I used my appt. with pdoc to get some stuff off my chest. I wasnt' really looking for advice, just an opportunity to talk about stuff. He's a good listener.

I don't think I could be a pdoc ever. I would hear people tell me their stories, and at the end of the appointment, I could give them a presciption for a pile of expensive dust that (might) make them feel better in the long run, and will probably make them feel crappy in the short run. I'd wonder- did I even make a difference? It seems like such a limited toolbox.

Everyone's got different stories. but there's only so many drugs...

I don't know -- it could be an adjustment from Cymbalta. And you have to remember that any results would be only seen like 3 weeks away at least so don't be too hard on yourself. I went from 90 to 110 to 120 and the first time I actually felt stimulated from Cymbalta was at 110, it went away after a day. My high dose of benzodiazepines of course may be hiding the stimulation but thats something we may only find after time.
