Again

Posted by willyee on June 15, 2006, at 19:26:10

I know i asked this many times, but tommorrow i see my doc,sls i believe did the keppra thing with negative results so thats one ill hold off on,ive actualy had some luck with gabitril and Nurtonion in combo with a benzo.

So ill ask to questions,i know the difference of the two,but in lamons term if money isnt an issue would i be better off trying pregablin over nuerontion?Could there be even the slightest benifit for SA?

Also just opinions,im not saying telll me what to speak about, but id like some opinions on what some would try in my case.Lamicatal is out as i have been given that three times already docs cant get enough of it.

The bup... sounds up my alley but i dont see my doc wanting to use it.

I've had better luck with pregablin (Lyrica). For me at least.. it has a slight mood enhancing effect that I didn't get with neurontin. Both are supposed to help with stage 4 deep sleep, but I have not been able to tell for sure. Lyrica has been approved for anxiety disorders in some countries.

No Phillipa it's not a benzo. It's in a different category and seems to be one of those drugs that they prescribe for a variety of things like shingles, fibromyalgia and as an add-on to antidepressants. Ed should chime in because it's been approved in the UK for GAD. I like it so far, only taking 50 mg in the afternoon when my anxiety is the worse.

warm regards, Jake

I don't know why the doc would be reluctant. Pharma reps are pushing it, one reason I think is neurontin is off patent. My sleep doc gave me two weeks of samples. There was a big discussion here a while back, some saying Lryica is the same drug as neuronton. I think there are some differences. From what I've read, Lyrica is the new and improved neurontin.
