Hi Folks,
Has anyone found that any particular meds increased teeth grinding? I am definitely grinding and I am wondering if the Lamictal, Wellbutrin, or Abilify might be worsening the problem.
Thanks,
emme

Yes they can but I'm not sure which is the culprit. Love Phillipa

For me, moclobemide caused bruxism. I haven't taken Abilify, but didn't notice any bruxism on wellbutrin or Lamictal. Cecilia

I think it's dopamine related.

I had terrible problems with bruxism on Wellbutrin. The higher the dose (up to 450) the worse the problem.

I've had a history of bruxism even when I was a child. The last year it had gotten worse, to the point where I was suffering from symptoms of TMJ because of it,and had teeth chip from it. Cymbalta made it worse. Since I started new meds I haven't noticed it. My pdoc always asks me if bruxism is a problem or if I notice it when I start a new med. Maybe you should mention it to your doctor. It's not good to live with it.

Thanks for the input folks! I will mention it to my doctor when I see her on Friday.
