sounds about 10% for antidepressant usages.
There really are no shiny happy people, and if they are, they're hiding something. There's a stigma against mental illness and people think that everyone in the office is cheery, but if you look beyond it, I'm sure there's plenty a secret Prozac dose, a domestic dispute, alcoholism, etc, all to get through the days. No... I'm not trying to be too cynical but sometimes one gets stuck in thinking that everyone is just a perfect type A when they just have a different coping mechanism.
But back to bits of useless trivia, my unrelated question has always been, how many people are born on each day of the year by percentage?

>> sounds about 10% for antidepressant usages.Sounds reasonable. People may also be more likely to self-pay for antidepressants than other meds, so the HMO figures could possibly be lower than actual. I'm wondering if adding in all other psych meds that around 20% or more of Americans take a psychotropic.

>> But back to bits of useless trivia, my unrelated question has always been, how many people are born on each day of the year by percentage?I wouldn't have a clue, but I do know these facts:
1. For the first time in human history the world population quadrupled during the 20th century.
2. The world population hit 6 billion in 1999. It is now 6.5 billion and is projected to reach 7 billion in 2013.
This is the end of the thread.
