I'm going to see a new family practitioner tomorrow. Will she think I'm crazy for asking about an MAOI, since they're normally avoided? Do most docs get updates on new approvals? Has anyone been prescribed EMSAM by a general practitioner for anxiety?

My pdoc doesn't even have anyone on it. I doubt that a GP would be up on it since they are so busy with other stuff and are usually inundated by mouthy drug reps that have other whizbang drugs to sell and pens to give away.
(Do I sound bitter?) : )

I doubt it too. My pdoc said the drug reps hadn't even been around yet with the info. He wanted to prescribe it with the fancy pen but he said start the next day without a washout period. So I am waiting til they have some experience with the med. Love Phillipa
