My anxiety has been so bad lately; I haven't had a full blown panic attack this week but I felt like I could've if I didn't step up and be proactive.
Anyway, I had a miscarriage a few weeks back and ever since, I am waking up at night with horrific anxiety and night sweats.
I went in and they said I had an abnormal pap so I had to go back today for another one.
I won't know about that until next week but the doctor put me on Ativan to take every night at bedtime.
I cut the pills in half; 1 mg's is just too much for me.
It really has helped though.. I can't believe how much calmer I am feeling!
I took this stuff a few other times' but not regurlarly.
Maybe this will really help.
Anyone else on Ativan daily?

I've been on Ativan daily and have found that it really helps. it was the first benzo i was evere put on. you must have a low tolerance for it though; when i was taking it, i started on 0.5mg during the day and worked my way up to 2mg at night. i'm sorry to hear about your recent circumstances and wish you the best!

I started taking 1 mg several months ago for early morning nightmares that I get when my panic disorder kicks in hard. It doesn't do anything now (tolerance?), so I'm tapering off, which is easy.

I uaed to take Ativan and one of my strange reasons for liking it was that it really had no taste. You could chew it in a pinch.

Spriggy I so glad you found a med that is helping you for once. That with the jogging will help and it sounds like you're getting back to your normal self. Love Jan

Terribly sorry to hear about your miscarriage. Yea, I've been on ativan for years. It's an excellent benzo., one drug that has never failed on me. Best wishes.Tyler
