Hi Tyler. I took 10 mg of Parnate this morning and I am aiming for a final dosage of 80 mg. How did you titrate your Parnate and what dose are you on now.

I've been with the same pdoc for 25 yrs. so he pretty much let's me do want I want...not always a good idea.:} Anyway, I went pretty fast, and initially took the whole dose in the morning. First 3 days 30, next 2 days 40, next 3 days 50, and then 60 for a week. I started feeling good on day 10, with 60 mgs. all in the morning. I need high doses of everything as I am T.R., I currently take 120 mgs. 80 a.m, 20 at noon, and 20 at 2:00, and it's working really good for me. If needed I'll go up to 200. I have read a lot of good things about high dose Parnate..things I'm sure you already know. I'm glad you've started Maxime, as you know Parnate is an excellent drug, not perfect, but better than the rest, for me anyway. I wish you the best...it's gunna work for you I can feel it, you've suffered enough girl!!

Thanks Tyler! Maybe I will add another 20 mg. Okay just did. If I have bad side effects I will lower it tomorrow. It's funny I have a very non-chalant attitude about Parnate. Maois don't scare me. :-)

Yea, I know what you mean, they don't scare me either. I do respect them though. And then there are people that won't even consider them because they think they are so "dangerous", you know when my Depression is bad, I'll try ANYTHING...my life sucks when I feel that bad, and you know what, if I have a hypertensive crisis (God Forbid) and I die tomorrow, well at least I had 2 months of life worth living with Parnate. :}Tyler

Hey Maxime, welcome to the fold :-) Sounds like you are starting a bit low at only 10mg. Normal staring dose if I remember right is 30mg. I have a feeling that you are going to be one of the quick responders. Remember NO EPHEDRA PLEASE!! You are taking this drug so that you can live don't add the ephedra and possibly ruin it all, ok?

30 mg was too much for me to start on. So I will stick to a slow titration schedule.
I haven't touched the ephedra.

Please dipose of any ephedra you may have. If you accidently took some you could have a hypertensive crisis.
