Amisulpride Startup Effects - Experiences?

Posted by TomG on April 2, 2006, at 12:48:58

I'm on day three of 25mgs in the morning. This is a very cleanish feeling drug nothing like I've ever experienced before. No druggy feelings are apparent no matter what time you take it. At this early stage I might be able to somewhat compare it to a stimulant but without the racey feeling and all the focus power.

I'm definately experiencing an increase in physical and mental energy. I almost feel like I'm overly focused. Is this normal and does it pass? Sleeping is going to be a problem I think. I had to use Ambien 10mgs last night.

I do feel like I am better able to express myself, and I have more confidence in what I say like a 'say what I mean, mean what I say' kind of attitude. These are all things I'm looking for, and I am pleased so far.

Does the amisulpride ever produce a calming effect?

I'm wondering if the closer you come to 100mgs the more of a calming effect it has, and the lower doses tend to be more powerful in enhancing dopamine transmission.

One thing I am a little concearned about, and this was a problem before the amisulpride is that I am constantly trying to remember useless bits of information in my mind. I try to constantly remember crazy stuff like all the types of bottled water or my favorite actors or things I want to tell people. I go over and over this in my mind and when I forget I try all day to remember what I wanted to say. What does this sound like? I feel like the amisulpride may have made this a little worse.

Personally I have found 100 mg to be the optimal dosage for me. I tried lowering the dosage to 50 mg, but then experienced some anxiety and racing thoughts (if that is the correct term).
