Hi
For those of you who have taken Nardil, what is the average weight gain on this med?

The weight gain was the only side effect of Nardil that I had long term problems with. I was up 75+ pounds during my last three year stint on the drug. For me it causes severe sweet carb cravings. We're talking a pound of chocolate in a binge or a half gallon of ice cream. The only thing worse was the severe atypical depression that was cured by the medication. I was able to lose weight once while on Nardil. This involved two hours of strenuous exercise per day, most every day.
Take care,
Jedi

75 pounds is a lot to deal with. I've tried Nardil and I was unable to tolerate the side effects. It made me very dizzy and out of it. But I took it after using Parnate with no washout period. I am going to be starting Parnate again next week. I was just wonder if I should give Nardil a go. But when I read things like that, I just can't do it (I'm anorexic).
Thanks.
