I was on 40mg of Dextroamphetamine, my mind was together, even thought i have anxiety, it seemed to neurtralize it. I did take it for ADD for years.
My thoughts seemed stable and able to cope with some things i dont know why, i dont like to go into detail but when i took it i would feel a sense of control over what i was doing. If something was happening like THIS danm car accident and insurance stuff, no problem. But no my mother took me off it, i went to the chaotic side of my mind.
Well i dont know what else to say, it seemed to force me to go into detail and anylaze stuff.
I dont know when but my mom said she would not send me to collage if i took it because she though that i would get dependent on it like she did back in the 70's.
Well thats it.
Thanks for feedback
Matt

Matt you know you're l8 now and if a doc orders a med for you she has no say in it. And if money is an issue go to the college docs. Love Mom 2 Jan

Based on your posts here when you were on amphetamines it does not seem you were more stable on them. I remember you having a crisis almost every night.
The only power your mother has over you is the power you give her.

Yes i had horrid night on amphetamine. Thats is because i took it too late and more than what it was suppost to.
But i know i can take my meds responsiblity, and not with my mother, which is going to have to end.
I dont rerember you, but i guess you where around.
I had many posts over years.
Thanks

I have to agree with Philipa,if you are High School/College age or 18,she can't tell you not to take Meds ,given for treatment of your symptoms by a bonified MD!You sound like pure ADD,to me,I've had it for years(30 years went by before it was correctly diagnosed.)I endured 12 years of H___ going through school, labeled a"trouble-maker"by my Teachers, who all gave me bad conduct marks.I could NOT SIT STILL,with nothing to do,I,d get done with stuff faster than most of my class-mates,and had to just sit there and wait. You know what that's like, being ADHD at 12-13 years old and un-medicated,having to sit still in a small desk and wait? Anyway,Good-Luck! Festus
