I am wondering, as you increase dose with Abilify does it have more of a tranqualizing effect or become more activating?
I'm taking a small dose, 2mg, which was great at first but the motivational/activating features have diminished. Now I just feel a little foggy and stabilized.
I'm taking for mild depression and help with motivation.

I've been wondering about this too.
My initial experience w. Abilify 2mg./day, was great relief from depression and some help with anxiety (DX'd Bipolar II/spectrum + Severe Generalized Social Phobia). After 2months I no longer felt any antidepressant effect, just felt "dulled". My doc' suggested going to 5mg./day, but this just made me "duller", so I stopped.
Now, I am on my 2nd try (after a year's break), but this time taking 2mg. Abilify every other day (in hopes of preventing Abilify poop-out). So far, in week 3, it is helping depression and anxiety greatly.

theo-- i take abilify 30mg in the morning. i don't find myself tired from it, though, to be fair, i also take dexedrine. my experience is that the higher doses are more activating. i've been on anywhere from 10-30mg. let me know if yo uhave any more questions.

i went from 10 to 20mg and stayed there for awhile before heading up to 30mg. it's hard to tell because of all the meds i take, but i think i felt sharper and more focused at the higher dose and less foggy. hope that helps,
