She doesn´t want to go back with me, she said she want to try other guys so she really can realize if she want to be with me for the rest of our lifes. I still have contact with her by messenger
but now she treats me very different. She doesn´t pay too much attention on me now . I really suffer
with her indifference towards me . I am now kind of obsesed all days waiting for her to be online. Although she tell me that she doesn´t love me anymore Im still trying to be close to her. I am sure this is making my depression worst , but I dont want to leave this girl forever. Im sure there isn´t other like her. She accepted me in the past no matter how ill I was , and she gave me all her love, believe me she was the best. But like everything , there is a limit and I reached her limit. The only thing I wish the most is to have healt so I know she will be happy with me forever. Marry her and have a family , but well that is just the dream of my life. Reality is different. I know that if she marry me in this condition she would suffer and I don´t want to mess her life too.
Love Tepi

Dear Tep, What is your diagnosis? Please if you don't mind let me know your diagnosis and the meds you've tried, the ones that worked and the ones that didn't. I've been on all the ssris, many TCA's, all the snri's and 3 MAOI's, as you know I'm doing very well on Parnate right now. I'll send you back my "Opinion" hey , I'm certainly not a doc, but I've had 24 yrs. personal experience and I've tried everything even ECT treatments. Dude, I can tell you're really hurting and I feel so bad for you, I just want to be helpful if I can. I will be praying for you Tep. Hang in there!
Sincerely, Tyler

Thank you for want to help me Tyler.
I have not an specific diagnostic. The first doctor that saw me in my life when I was 15, told me I had an
shizoaffective disorder type depresive. Some months ago I went to see him again and told me that in 40 years as a Doctor he has never seen something like me. I wish I was bipolar or something specif but I dont know what I got for sure.
I have tried almost any drug on the market SSRIS , TCAs , Benzos , Betablockers ,
The one that helped me the most was Nardil , I was the last two years on it , but I stopped to find something better , which I believe its impossible. In the last months I tried Risperdal, Tolvon, Abilify , Paxil , Remeron , Aurorex and at the end Parnate . I guess I quit parnate too fast but I was so tired of feeling like this. Now Im very dissapointed , I am not happy about returning to my old Nardil life. I dont know what do to , suicide have been in my mind all these months. don´t know what to do =(TEP

Please Tep don't consider suicide, there is help out there for you and I pray you find it soon. Are you seeing a Pdoc? I sure hope so-you really do need a psychiatrist. also, are you on anything for anxiey, example; Klonopin, ativan, Xanax?
Now this is JUST my opinion okay...I would go back on Parnate and make sure you get something for insomnia ( i'm currently taking Trazodone for insomnia and it works pretty good ) you have to give Parnate a good 6 wks,it kicks in at different times for different people, sometimes 2 weeks, sometimes 6 weeks. Heck, stay in bed if you need too until it starts working. My hunch is that if Nardil worked for you for awhile then you are a MAOI responder which means that Parnate will probably work for you also. Tep, please hang in there and feel free to contact me ANYTIME-I'll even give you my e-mail address: montami@netzero.net. Hang in there bud, help is just around the corner- I truly believe this. I will be praying for you every day. God Bless.Sincerely, Tyler
p.s. if your not on anything for anxiety get something right away. If you go back on Parnate please be patient and give it 6 good wks.

Tep,
Did your doc every add anything to the Nardil? My pdoc adds Lithium and thyroid 3, to increase the effectiveness of Nardil if needed..just a thought.
also (only a suggestion) for vitamins and minerals I take and think these work well: A good mult-Vit w/100 mgs. of all the B vits, A high potency multi-mineral ( amino acid chelated minerals ) Niacinimide 200-400mgs daily, Magnesium Glycomine 200-400 mgs daily, Omega 3 fish oil 4000 mgs daily, chromium,25mgs zinc, and before bed to help with sleep a high potency
Calcium/Magnesium in a 2-1 ratio...These work for me, if you do try any of them start out slowly and do only one at a time. Also extra b-12 is good. Remember, vitamin AND minerals must both be taken for for the body to utilize them and absorb them. These are just things that help me and may help you or others as well-Ed and Blueberry know more about nutrition and supplements than I do..please ask them for their opinion before you go out and buy a bunch of vits. I just want you to feel better bud.Sincerely,
Tyler
P.S. Are you taking anything for Anxiety-like klonopin, xanax,or ativan? if not talk to your doc about Benzodiazapines...if he's even willing to prescribe them..best wishes Tepi.

>Docs here don´t know what to use with MAOI . The old ones have forgot the tricks and the new ones doesn´t even know what a MAOI is. One doctor gave me once Epival ER , a mood stabilizer , but I didn´t work out. I think I should try adding other
stuff. I also tried seroquel with nardil , when I wanted to raise the dose till 90mgs . I used it mainly for the insomnia problems as any other drugs helped me to sleep. I couldn´t reach the 90mgs of Nardil . I have to do it this time, I just need to find how to combat the side effects.

Yes I take Klonopin 0.5mg daily. I also have xanax but dont use it very often.
I wish I can find something for the fear , It is
the worst thing , even worst than depression. I think I could handle to live with depression, but this fear , believe me I can´t live like this.
In the afternoon some very old friends came at home to go out. I couldn´t say no , I didn´t wanted to leave home but my fear didn´t let me tell no to them. Instead I went to the refrigerator and drank a whole beer . I did it well for a couple of hours.Thank you for your help bud ty

Tep,
Where exactly do you live? Also, is there anyway you could come to the U.S.for a second opinion? As far as the Klonopin and Xanax do you think taking a little more to get you through this very difficult time would help? I take Ativan (same class medicine as Klon. and Xan.)and when I'm going thru a dif. time taking more helps me. Stay in touch and take care my friend.Ty

I don´t know if I could afford that. It would have to be in Texas . I live north of Mexico.
I sometimes go shopping to the frontier , laredo ,mcallen. My ex-girl is from San Antonio. I would have to go see the best doctor there. I have no idea how much is a private doctor in US,
can you tell me?. If I go to US , it would have to be with a great Doc, otherwise would be a lost of money and time. just curious where you live ty?
do you know a good doc in this area?

I know it might cost a lot of money Tep...but,we are talking about you life here.

P.S. I would (just my opinion) take more klonopin or xanax if I were you to help you through this rough time.

Im always thinking what the other people is thinking about me . That everybody is staring , analizing , judging me . I always have these thougths with me, no matter if Im with my family. of course I feel a little bit comfortable with them but its still so painfull. I would like to be part of this world
aso, how long were you on Parnate and what didn't you like about it?
very short time , just 5 days . I know that is not enough time , I just got tired of meds and all the fam started to push that I have to return to Nardil and to stop trying others. its rare but when a med helps me they all do it very quickly. I felt the effect of Nardil the first day I took it, the same happen with others meds that have helped me.Im gonna try some tricks with nardil, now that arrives, maybe in a week.
I really appreciate that you r trying to help me by this means

It sounds to me-just my opinion, that you may
have social phobia and obsessions I have had both so I know how terrible they are! I think Nardil may help. If it doesn't please consider giving Parnate another try - It works great for me and for social phobia and obsessions. I wish you only the best my friend.Ty

Yeah I have social phobia, is what I tell to all the doctors. Maybe I also have OCD but no one has ever mentioned that to meIf it doesn't please consider giving Parnate another try -
I have full my Parnate bottle. It expires until march 2007. I could try it again

------------------------------------------
Yes, I tried it back in 1997. It's a great medication, I definitely felt better on it, however the side effects were really bad for me-I couldn't sleep at night, even though i was very tired and tired all day long also, plus anorgasmia. For me, Parnate is much better. With Parnate...this is how my dosing went, and i began feeling better after about 1 1/2 wks. some people need 6 wks however.Day one and two: 20 mgs all in morning
Day two and three: 30 mgs all in morning
Day 4 thru 7, 40 mgs all in morning
Day 8 thru 11, 50 mgs all in morning
Day 12 thru 20, 60 mgs all in morning
60 mgs is when it really kicked in for me, now I'm at about 3 1/2 weeks and on 80 mgs all in morn. But, I have always needed high doses of meds for a good response. And I am still doing really well- no depression, no social phobia, no OCD, no anxiety.
How are you doing Tep? Please let me know and if Nardil doesn't work please give the Parnate another try...a longer try.
I pray for you every day Tepi...sure hope you're doing better.
Ty
