I'm considering adding Remeron to my current drugs-- lithium and Seroquel. I'm not even entirely sure that they are doing anything. Sometimes it really seems like they help, but it always only lasts for a few days or maybe a week, and then I always seem to crash back down. This has been going on since about last May. During the past month or so, I've been gradually increasing my Seroquel dose. I've gone from 50mgs to 500mgs. But still the effects of the drug seem erratic and inconsistent, which is very frustrating and confusing. Does anyone have any thoughts about this? My luck with drugs has been very bad in general. Most things haven't worked AT ALL, or have made things worse, and I have taken A LOT of different drugs.
Anyways, I'm wondering also if anyone knows if there are people who do NOT gain weight on Remeron, or is it like a given that you pretty much will gain weight if you take it?

I never gained weight on remeron. Just for the record.

Thanks for your responses. So can you tell me, other than the lack of weight gain, how did you like the drug (Remeron)? Did it work for you? What kinds of side effects did you have?

It was supposed to help with sleep but it didn't help me sleep. My sleep problems are stubborn. Fondly, Phillipa

It was a fair drug. It made me irriatable all the time though.
