Anyone experience this? Is it still possible that it will go away or am I stuck with this? It's really helping my GAD.

It does go away. It takes about a week or two. Just be careful not to miss any doses, if you do, you will feel the dizziness again until you take the missed dose. Check out the withdrawal board for info on that.

Do you mean another week or two on top of the six weeks I've already been on it? I heard six weeks should be the max on something like this to go away.

I am sorry, I missed the part where you said you have been on it for 6 weeks. I have been on this drug for almost a year now, and with my memory loss, I dont exactly remember when it went away, but it did go. It took a couple of months, so another week or two should do it for you (hopefully). keep in mind that everyone is different, and we may not be on the same dosage. I started at 37.5 and then went to 75 and that is where I have stayed.
Good luck and hang in there.

Thanks. I should have noted that I am on 75 mg. It works well with my GAD and the sexual side effect is much less than it was when I was on Paxil so I want to stay on it. It's just I feel the pressure on top of my head which makes for the light-headed/dizziness. Is your memory loss from the Effexor?
This is the end of the thread.
