Someone knows me!Hi Tom.
Yes I am unfortunate to live in the police state of the UK.
Babblemail? Never used the thing. I'm a moody, unsociable b*gger and so don't tend to do the 'chat' thing.
I just turn up every now and then, say something controversial about, I dunno, drugs or something, and then disappear before trouble starts.
Can you give me an idea of what it is that's on your mind? Can you discuss it here? Tell me if it's personal and maybe we can arrange something.
It's 6:30am now and I'm gonna roll another blunt (there I go again with the drug references...) before tucking myself up.
Nite,
Jah.

Hey Jah
Thanks for answering my call!
I at least remember you from previous posts, and if memory serves you're post weren't unpleasant or contreversial!
I think stating that UK is a police state is a fair comment, especially were mental health is concerned!
I wanted to ask your advice about going abroad for treatment.
I think you were about the only UK person who actually did go abroad!Have I got things completely wrong?
Anyway if you feel like contacting me, you can just babblemail by clicking on my name.
P.S. sorry for bad spelling good old dyslexia

Hi Tom.
> I at least remember you from previous posts, and if memory serves you're post weren't unpleasant or contreversial! You can't get away with unpleasant here so I try and walk away from arguments now.
My thoughts are probably more controversial than my posts. I've learnt that if you know you're going to antagonise people, it's usually best to refrain from posting completely. Which is what I almost do. Many of my posts touch upon suicide, violence and drugs, subjects that many people feel uncomfortable with, but which are a part of my world. I don't fit the demographic here and so it is inevitable I will raise eyebrows from time to time. I also have grave misgivings about The Psychotherapy Industry - for that's what it is IMO - and such views do not conform to the majority opinion here. But that's cool.
> I think stating that UK is a police state is a fair comment, especially were mental health is concerned!
Don't get me started on the mental healthcare system! It's a disgrace. Our American friends would not believe what goes on (or doesn't, as is often the case). After 8 years in the system, I don't even have a pdoc anymore.
With the 'police state' comment, I probably had in mind more the new 'religious hatred' Bill, which IMO has nothing to do with stopping hatred (a trawl of the internet will confirm that the proposed measures are actually fomenting anger and resentment - the Liberal Elite underestimate just how highly the Electorate treasures its hard-won freedom of speech. Ultimately one *chooses* to adhere to a particular religious ideology and so the idea that such views - which will inevitably have a massive impact on all of our lives - cannot be challenged or criticised is absurd), and everything to do with placating an increasingly vociferous and vocal 'minority group'. It's all about votes. The irony is that the group these 'tolerance measures' will most benefit, is itself manifestly intolerant (Ed, I think you will probably know what I'm on about. BBC Radio 4. A certain 'Sir'. Disgraceful).
See how easy it is for me to stray into controversial territory? I wasn't even trying. No need for a Redirect Bob - I've said my piece.
> I wanted to ask your advice about going abroad for treatment.
> I think you were about the only UK person who actually did go abroad! That's right! I saw the venerable Dr Jensen, who was all the rage round here a few years back. I have mixed feelings about the consultation itself, but I gained access to drugs I had no hope of getting here. And his secretary was cute :-)
It was an expensive journey obviously, but I don't believe you can put a price on health. All in all, quite an adventure. First ever trip to the US of A. Recommended.
> Anyway if you feel like contacting me, you can just babblemail by clicking on my name.
Will do. My brain isn't working tonight, so probably tomorrow. I'm a night owl and my brain takes a few hours to fire up so it won't be early. Always happy to help a fellow Brit in distress tho' :-)
> P.S. sorry for bad spelling good old dyslexiaMate...I am your worst nightmare. A former English student with a love of the language, and a pedant to boot. Only one spelling mistake. A- :-P

And you are? :-P
I actually have a poser for you Ed.
Why would 10/500mg of Co-Dydramol be so much more potent than 30mg of straight Dihydrocodeine? I can't work it out. I don't ever experience placebo.
The Co-Dydramol gives me an amphetamine-like buzz and a real sense of vitality. I work out on a punch bag every night and last night...I've never been able to punch with such power...and I hit hard anyway. I was wearing mitts but managed to skin two knuckles. That hasn't happened in years.
Weird one, huh? Any ideas?
Thanks,
J.

Hi J
I don't know. I never liked dihydrocodeine much. I once took 180mg and it gave me a stiff neck!

Hey Jah
Really tired now after work, (I work till 8pm) so I'm going to make this post brief!
I completely know what you mean about the "Religious hatred bill", it seems manifestly contradictory to encourge tollerance by further restricting free speech.
Like 1984 the government knowingly says one thing while meaning another, were is Orwell when we need him!Returning to Dr Jenhsen, how did you contact him?
Was it by Email?
Did you just ask him if he was willing to take a patient from abroad? How did you keep in contact with him?
I know what you mean about restricted drugs, it would be good to have some accsess to Benzo's and Stimulants.
Take care anyway
P.S. Hey Ed I know you there, haven't been ignoring you, I've just been busy, hope all is well.
