I need to start taking stims again for studying, in the past adderall has worked the best, but common sense generally says that it will increase anxiety (which I have...). Anybody have any experience or thoughts on what has least affected their social anxiety?
Thanks

> ThanksHi becksA,
Good question. I take 15-30mg/day of immediate-release Adderall. I'm definitely more anxious if I overshoot the mark by taking too much. Sometimes 10mg works perfectly. Other times it's too much. Generally, my response to any particular dose depends on a number of things, such as whether I take it with food; my mood; how much stuff I'm juggling; or if I unintentionally drink too much coffee or soda. Only trial and error will prove which stimulant will work for you without increasing anxiety. I think Dexedrine or Focalin are ones to look at since they might be less likely than the others to increase anxiety. You may also want to consider combining a stimulant with a beta-blocker. Check out some of the threads already in progress or just use the Google feature at this site to do further research. Good luck & take care. Peace...
This is the end of the thread.
