OK I DONT KNOW WHAT TO DO.
I took iti had a headace, and i read that tramadol (Ultracet) can cause serotonin syndrome, after i started feeling weird.
Prozac is an SSRI.
I took a low dose of Ultracet (50mg) i dont know if it is going to do anything.
Will this pass and go away after it wears off
SOME TELL ME PLEASE OR IM GOING TO 911

>Well if you're still experiencing what is clearly Serotonin Syndrome, which is severe fever, confusion, anxiety, and rapid changes in vital signs, I would seek professional help immediately. It turns up as a severe drug interaction in several reliable databases. SSRIs may interfere with metabolism of Tramadol at CYP P-450-2D6 and thus lower your threshold and increase a chance of seizure. Normal Ultram doses start at 25mg, so you're already increasing it. People take up to 400mg a day so you may be experiencing subclinical Serotonin Syndrome.
Its up to you, make a good decision. Don't wait if things become more severe, Serotonin Syndrome is unpredictable.

I wouldn't be too worried about an immediate serotonin syndrome from a single dose of an add on medication. With continued use it could be an accumulative risk over days or weeks. You could be feeling the effects of increased serotonin as well as some effects of norepinephrine reuptake inhibition and effects on the opioid system.
To be safe, you could stop prozac for 2 to 4 days and also let the tramadol wash out.
If ever in doubt though, getting to the emergency room is a good idea.

> If ever in doubt though, getting to the emergency room is a good idea.Prozac takes 7 days for 1 half life, and a "wash out" is 35 days, or 5 half lifes, defined by medicine. But you're probably right about the single dose of Ultram.
Please, for the love of god, stop mixing your medicines unless you were prescribed them. Its self-destructive behaviour and we want to see you well.
Ultram has no place in a psychiatric schedule unless you otherwise have back pains.
I know you're hurting right now terribly, and you need to speak with a doctor if you aren't already with a psychiatrist.
Only they will know how to mix your medications properly. Even temazepam should not be taken in the daytime... yes, I know, it feels good, and I've been awake with it before I sleep, but it was n't intended for that.
cheers and best wishes
Jay
