Klonopin, doxepin and WHAT?....

Posted by Colleen D. on December 27, 2005, at 20:43:44

Looking for something to counteract the sedation of these two drugs taken together on a daily basis? Provigil? Other stimulants? I am totally unfamiliar with stimulants. Can anyone help? My main problems right now are nerve pain - muscle spasms, fatigue, stiffness and sciatica. I've read the both clonazepam and doxepin can help. I'm on both right now along with Lexapro and I need to be more alert during the day.

Thanks a bunch,
Colleen

Liquid deprenyl at low doses i always found to go nice with klonopin, and only small drops of a mg or two do so.

I can personaly attest to that, aside from that a inexpensive stimulant would be adfranil, not here in the U.S or as u said Modfanil.

You alays have the more dangerous route of adhd stims ritalin, adderall and the like, but thats all depending on if u wanna go down that road.

I would say simple caffiene, but i read actualy that caffiene and benzos fight for the same receptor site or something like that, which doesent make them very compatiable,or else a simple vivrain tab for 2 dollers would be a answer.

Last there is something, called DMG.....DI METHYL GLYCINE it is a over the counter suppplment,HOWEVER its extremly potent, sublingual and goes directly to the brain.

It is a powerful stimulant, and was even looked at to be marketed as a medication years ago. This time the natural product had a company with a tight patent that wasnt gonna let another trypothan happen and so the supplement still remains on your local health shop shelf.

Cant remeber the name, but its in a bright yellow and green box, they are the patent holders and have the best quality,i personaly can do this much and assure sure it is a POTENT fast acting stimulant, might want to google it.

I couldnet sleep for days on it which made me have to stop it,even klonopin wasnt strong enough to pentatrate it for me,other wise i found it to be amazing for a natural product.

perhaps. But I take Klonopin and Provigil, and am so tired (narcolepsy) when I wake up that I take a Vivarin tab on waking and it gets me awake (no concentration or ADHD benefits, but it gets me awake). Doesn't seem to interfere with Klonopin, but YMMV.

I take klonopin and use providial (on occation) for help with my energy. It does the job. I seem to only need 50mgs, but many people particularly those with narcolepsy take much higher doses 200mgs or so.

Provigil works better for me than coffe as coffee makes me anxious after about an hour. If you try it you may want your doc to just give you a small percription to test it as it's expensive. The good thing about provigil is that you'll know day one if it's going to work for you.

hi! My votes would go to either Provigil or Ritalin. Ritalin is a schedule II drug, but it isn't as problematic as Dexedrine/Desoxyn/Adderall tend to be. Its more like...lots of coffee, sans the jitters. Withdrawal is milder than amphetamine withdrawal, too.

Provigil is schedule IV, but it is ridiculously over-priced and isn't a sure-shot energy booster...if it works, though, it can cause much fewer problems than Ritalin or the amphetamines, so its worth a shot if your insurance will cover it.
