all the anti anxiety meds what is the most relief?

Posted by rjlockhart on December 18, 2005, at 15:11:05

I take Klonopin (clonazepam) 6mg, Zyprexa 5mg for balance in my mind. I have been through so much mental instablity, just try in "rjlockhart" in the search engine and you will get the idea.

The benzodiazepines, what really is the most stablizing? Valium, Xanax, Ativan, Tranxene?

I have been on Ativan before, and it didnt help with panic.

I just want balance.

Can you help with some put...

Thank you

Matt

Hey, I could go on forever about my anxiety as well, at the worst point in university I was abusing up to 32mg of clonazepam a day.

I've found a 'majic' bridge that pulls the meds together and while not leaving me with a lot of energy, my mood is much better. I take 5mg of zyprexa, 30mg prozac 2mg clonazepam, and 325mg valproac acid. I think for me, the valproac acid has been the key ingredient in providing relief from the torture. Having said that, and make of this what you will, I was taking 30mg of nozenan a day, until I went to a spiritual service where I was told I was to receive a 'flack vest', - a bullet proof vest, after receiving it I never needed to take the nozenan again. I don't want this to be a guilt thing, I didn't have to confess sins or anything, I actually want to be in church, which rarely happens. anyway, mnaybe this will get bumped to the faith board. Hope you feel better.

Yes, I had two mg tablets, and would pop them like candy, I had gained such tolerance to them.

Geez, well you'd know all about it then. My experience with benzos has been that they don't stabilize you. Maybe there is a subset of people who are made phobic by them. Sometimes drugs aggravate the conditions they provide temporary relief for. Drug addiction (or whatever you call it) can be a very scary experience.

Try a higher dose of zyprexa. 5 mg is not that high.
