I just went from 30 to 45 mg of nardil and lost my erection and orgasm the first night. Has anyone else lost it and gotten it back. I had major sexual side effects from ssri's and am worried this wont get any better. Any input is appreciated....

Sexual side effects and weight gain are very very common with nardil. Some people say over time the two subside, most say they dont.
One person has had luck with testastorone. So with that id recomend either a adhd type stimulant such as ritalin or dexadrine.......if you cant get a hold of those, something you might wanna *look* into is Androstene* im spelling it wrong im sure, but it should be found in ur local health store, basicaly any product with Andro in it enhances tesotorone which should in turn help out with the sexual side effects, also as a bonus andro might provide energy and drive to work out, which in turn will help with the weight gain.

Even when I went off of testosterone for around three weeks after being on it for three weeks due to lack of supply, I found that I could get an erection and have an orgasm (Cialis helped somewhat with the erection)! My libido and function was still impaired though, and I would not get morning erections nor spontaneous erections. Time to orgasm lessened from taking up to hours to perfectly normal (I had problems with premature ejaculation off the drug). On testosterone, everything functioned as if I were on no drug at all. Thus, it appears as if my function came back after around 7-8 months on the drug at 90mg/day. THERE IS HOPE. Do NOT give up until at LEAST _FOUR_ months after reaching your therapeutic dose.
Taking a stimulant or dopamine agonist with testosterone could allow you to reduce the dose. The only side effect I have noticed is some nipple soreness and mild gynecomastia when I went off of it. Now that I am back on it, it is going away. None of that is irreversible; anti-estrogenic drugs or aromatase inhibitors can help with this when not using the hormones.
This is the end of the thread.
