Sorry if this is old news -- I have only enough time to scan posts right now.
"Researchers have discovered a new drug that raises the level of endocannabinoids -- the 'brain's own cannabis' -- providing anti-depressant effects. The new research published in this week's Proceedings of the National Academy of Sciences (PNAS), suggests the new drug, called URB597, could represent a safer alternative to cannabis for the treatment of pain and depression, and open the door to new and improved treatments for clinical depression--a condition that affects around 20% of Canadians."

I heard that chocolate also contains compounds that block the degradation of endocannabanoids.
I found that my brief exposure to marajuanna was interesting. In terms of helping sleep, apetite, and anhedonia, it seemed to help my depression with far fewer toxic effects (esp in terms of akathesia etc). The thing was that perhaps only two puffs was enought to help my sleep and apetite for a few days.
I would like to try this drug.

Interesting...Sounds like a viable and physically benign alternative (to smoking cannabis) that I'd like to try if it's ever approved.
This is the end of the thread.
