If you look up there ^^ you will read my experience with taking my friend into the psych unit.
She got officially put in on Tuesday- she called me last night and sounds SOOOO Much better. I couldn't even believe it was the same person!
She talked for 20 minutes without having a breakdown (which is HUGE for her)- her husband even came up there yesterday and told her he wants a divorce- and yet she still held herself together.
I was amazed and sooo excited for her.
I am driving up to take her dinner and visit her tonight. I am just thrilled for her.
Anyway, they put her on:
Cymbalta, Klonopin, Ativan (as needed), and Ambien for sleep.
I don't know if it's the meds or the counsel or both but she sounds like a different person.
They are keeping her at least until Friday and then want her to come back up 2 times per week for 6 hours sessions for another 12 weeks.
I think she might make it afterall!!!

well thats good.
Klonopin and Ativan i've been on. Klonopin more calming sometimes.
Did she have a breakdown? well dont want to ask anything thats confidencal. So yea..
Well i hope that she get her feet. Was she in that pic where you where all fliped upside down smiling. On your website.
I hope she comes through, that puts shivvers down my spine when i almost went to mental hostpal, but they told me i wasnt crazy. Just panic with hypomania. I disagreed... but i didnt want to be locked up, so i said ok, paranoid about things really can work you up.
Anyways, take care S.
Matt
