I have tried to convince 5 psychiatrists to prescribe Nardil or Parnate, and they've all refused.
Could anyone recommend a doctor in NYC who is willing to prescribe an MAOI?

Babblemail me; I have someone you could try booking an appointment with @ Beth Israel hospital whose name I cannot mention here because he is a family friend (I'd feel weird about psoting the name of my cousin's best friend on a discussion group).
I would also consider calling Dr. Ivan Goldberg to
see if he will take your case..Also, the more accomplished psychiatrists at University Behavioral Health Care in New Brunswick, NJ (division of medical school there) all seem to Rx MAOIs rather freely--given that you've had a few failed trials of other meds, I'm sure--in my experience.

Dr. Donald Klein @ Columbia University. He's too expensive for most though! First session: $700

Oh my god, I could never afford $700 for an appointment. Did you personally see that doctor? What else do you know about him, in general?

Yes, I personally saw him one time just to see what he had to say. Look him up..he's one of the most well-known pdocs in the country and has written over 400 articles and has conducted numerous studies. Luckily, my dad has a good job so I don't need to worry about the money! One less thing to worry about.
