I've never responded to lexapro before. Would that neccisarily mean that Celexa wouldn't be beneficial?
I've heard of those who respond to celexa, but not lexapro.Just looking on Forrest Pharms site (they make celexa and lexapro), they almost try to get u to not take celexa, and to switch to lexapro.
Is this simply marketing the more expensive drug? Oh yeah, there isn't a generic for lexapro yet. hhhmmmm

Celexa works better for me than Lexapro. Celexa isn't great (I am still having anxiety and depression) but Lexapro made me more anxious and more depressed when I tried switching from Celexa to it.Marsha

Just like the other poster, I had a superior response to celexa vs lexapro. But, of course, you'll find many other users on the flip side of this argument.

I switched to Celexa and I like it better. However, I take mine in the am and by 5 or so pm I am feeling a little down. I do feel better all around on Celexa than I did on the Lexapro.
