I was just thinking about how I was in the past and how I am now. Even though I still get very depressed and paranoid sometimes, it is nowhere near as bad as in the past.
I'm not thinking of suicide 24/7 anymore. I don't want to run and hide from all people anymore. I still have problems, yes, but they are not nearly as bad.

sometimes you would think no medicines have ever helped anyone by reading the posts on this board, then again, when i am feeling good, the last time i do is come to this board. so it all makes sense.
there are two steps to recovery. meds No. 1, and then working on your thinking patterns. good luck and thanks for sharing.

I know what you mean. I'm always thinking things could be better. Well maybe they could but its important to remember when things were worse. I recently had a relapse from changing meds. On reflection it seems I 'forgot' how bad I was before taking the former med. Ended up going strait back on it!
Sounds like you're feeling positive though. Thats great! Keep it up!
Kind regards,
Kev.

hey! Its great that you're feeling better! Medications can be very beneficial for some people, so I'm really happy for you that you've found the right mix and the risk: benefits ratio is decidedly tilted in your favor. How long has it taken you to find this particular combo? (I'm just curious..it seems like seem people get better on the first thing(s) they try, while others spend years before they hit the righ mix).

Oh, I haven't really tried any combos. I'm still never "normal" really. I still get in a really bad way sometimes, but I'm just saying that overall, I think I have improved. Maybe it's the meds, maybe not. Maybe other people have improved as well but they just don't see it.
Maybe some people think meds don't help them but they really do. Maybe they just don't notice a big change but they are better now than before.
I've only ever been on Zoloft and Celexa really. Just trying out some Risperdal for now, I think it helps my anxiety. No real side effects or anything, so I'll just experiement a bit with it.
