for years I was on 30mg paxil.. then started a new very high stress job/was in a relationship with an abusive alcoholic.. and the 30mg stopped working for my anxiety etc... so the doc put me down to 20mg of paxil and 37.5 of effexor xr... have been on them for almost 3 weeks.. have had to take a leave from work because my nerves are just terrible right now.. and goin through other personal stresses (break up with b/f etc) so.. have been trying to numb my pain with drinking which I KNOW is stupid especially when I am starting new meds.. find myself drinking a few glasses of wine/beer almost everynight.. wondering how bad of an affect this will have.. any feedback would be greatly appreaciated.. thank you

Someone once told me it could render the drugs less effective but I don't really know. Fondly, Phillipa

Mostly, drinking on meds has made me feel yucky. Very tired while drinking and the next day. I hope you can find some support in this difficult time.
Best,
EE
