I found this website today, quite an interesting read, written by a psychiatrist in the US.

You're always a great resource. I have a dad with bp so this will be an interesting read for me.

Hi Phillipa,
I know what you mean, when you first look at it, it is alot of information to take in to say the least. I remember this time last year when it dawned on me that i'm probably bipolar and reading up the various mood stabilisers and information about bipolar it seemed so much to take in, for example Depakote, is that sodium valproate?...whats Epilim?...whats Depakene? is Lamictal ~ Lamotrigine?!...I was trying to figure it all out whilst I was in one of the worst severe depressions and also being prescibed antidepressants that were making me feel worse by my psychiatrist lol.
It took a while to sink in and figure it all out and even then it took even longer for the trials of medications to start..but I guess from where I was last year the knowledge from the internet has really helped me a great deal.
Kind regards
Nick
