I have noticed recently that I am not remembering doing things late at night after taking ativan. Cant remember going to bed sometimes, where I put things and now a post I made. Is this a normal side effect?

Lorazepam has been known cause amnesia out of all the benzodiazepines. On most sites on rxlist.com it will list a side effect amniesa.
I have been on high doses of Ativan before (6mg daily) for severe severe anixety. It didnt help, becuase i was going through amphetamine withdrawl. I didnt have much problems with memory but i know that Ativan is known to cause this. So dont worry, there's nothing serious. You can switch to another Valium is similiar to Ativan.
Klonopin is alot more dulling. I dont know if you want that. But......its for you.
Stay brite
Matt

Thanks Matt!
i usually dont take it that often but I have been lately and more than usual for sleep. That would explain it. I dont like being dull so I will stay away from. Hopefully I will not need it for much longer, memory loss is scary.

Briterain? That's cute. If you're taking a small dose I really don't think you have to worry about amnesia. Do you still have jet lag? Wish Ed would come back we need him don't you agree? Fondly, Phillipa
