I take prozac 20 mg twice a day, lithium 450 mg, twice a day, and Buspar 10 mg twice a day. I have been on these three meds for 14 yrs or more. I have tried other meds such as welbutrin, celexa, paxil, effexor, topomax, depakote, etc, and they didn't work as well as what I am taking now. I am bi polar and my moods go from high to low, these meds help the moods not be so high or not so low. Along with medication I have therapy over the years to work on my behaviors and actions. The best thing that I did for myself was give up alcohol years ago. Alcohol does not mix well with meds. It took me a few years to get on the right track with my meds but I am finally able to say I feel well and have been for a long time. And I was diagnose with major depression. So there is hope out there for others. Just remember to be an advocate for yourself.
This is the end of the thread.
