I just started takeing effexor xr six days ago, and am not takeing any other meds, hasnt done anything to me yet except make me constipated, i'm takeing the starter dose of 37.5 and willstart the 75's day after tomorrow, when will I start to notice me feeling better and being in a better mood? thanks

It can take several weeks for an AD to be effective, so hang in there.

For the most part meds can take up to six weeks to start working. It sounds like your starting on a low dose and that's good because you can work your way up. And if this med doesn't work for you you can try a different one. But I would give this one a chance. For me, meds usually take about two weeks to where I notice a change. Keep the faith, things will work out.
