I took 50 mg of Lamictal to help with a headache and cognitive dysfunction.
I think it helped (I've been on 25mg for 2 weeks), but need to now how fast it "works" once I swallow it. Anyone?
Thanks

You took the Lamictal for a headache? I am confused.
It caused headaches for me. Why are you on it to begin with (if you don't mind me asking)?

BP (NOS, probably II). I've had good luck with Klonopin and Tegretol in the past for headaches and cognitive impairment. Seems Lamictal may work also.

I'm not too familiar with Trileptal. Isn't it the one that's almost "identical" to Tegretol?

Yes it is. It has an extra oxygen ion so it's a cleaner drug. Fondly, Phillipa

I'm not sure but I think it's one of those that has to build up slowly in your system to work. It gave me severe headaches after I'd been on it about 10 days.Marsha

I wasn't clear. Lamictal helped with the cognitive dysfunction. It did again today. Apparently I need it (and will contine to) to replace Klonopin, which I'm tapering off of.
