Could everyone share their best meds combo for social phobia. I'm hoping to find something without the adverse sexual effects of Nardil and without the short-term memory impairment of Klonopin.
Thanks.

Hey :)
I got the most benefit for social anxiety from a combo of:
Oxycontin 80 mg
Adderall 60 mg
Klonopin 6 mg
The long term harmful effects of this combo are pretty bad... especially if you stop taking them all together (which I did)... Otherwise Nardil alone was the best thing I ever tried... Second best was Paxil + Klonopin, but say GOODBYE to sex! Uppers and downers together seem like one of the best ways to go except for tolerance issues and discontinuation...

You tried Parnate? It's not particularly prosocial but then it doesn't ruin your sex life (if you have one). I used to use opiates. What DH said sounds right. At least you don't want to add insult to injury.

Nardil is phenelzine, a hydrazine (?) Monoamine Oxidase Inhibitor that a lot say is the ants pants for scial phobia amd depression. Unfortunately the side effects (at certain doses, anyway) include weight gain, sexual dysfunction, edema and hypotension. You have to watch your diet and certain drug interactions. "It helps 90%, and 75% give it up because of the side effects". It must be impressive for people to put up with the side effects.
