I've been taking Geodon 20MG once a day for the past 6 days and I have noticed a significant increase in sleep. I take it at night and don't necessarily get tired from it. Once I do fall asleep though I can sleep like a solid rock for over 10 hours straight. It's like it puts you into a sleep trance and even if you awake you have an extreme desire to keep sleeping. Does this go away at a higher dose or after taking this med for an extended period of time? Is there another med I could take in conjunction with this to alleviate this extreme sleepiness?
Thanks to all,
Tommy!!!!!!!

hey! Geodon is kind of sedating...I had a friend who takes it..when he first started he, he pretty much slept for 2 weeks. Lots of fun. Anyway, the only thing that could really get rid of the sleepiness would be reducing the dose or maybe adding a stimulant. Adding a kind of stimulating antidepressant might help too, but also brings a number of side-effects/drug-interactions to the mix. Good luck!
