I have been on Effexor for ten years now and I want to tell you that it changed my life.
My mind was out of control, I had so many thoughts going on at once and in counseling I could not focus on one single one. I ruminated on situations that happened previous in the day. I had very little peace.
One week after starting Effexor I woke up and it was as if someone had turned the volume down on the world. I had never experienced being able to take a single thought and work through it.
Over the years I have gone from emotionally disabled but functioning to working in a Law office and really being sucessful in counseling. I'm a firm believer in Effexor and despite my faith in miracles I thank God daily for leading me to this medicine. I wish the stigma for many about medicine would dissapear. These stigmas are cultural, religious and deeply rooted. Yet I will always tell others of the freedom it has given me.
