Hi everyone,
I had a bad stint with birth control pills for a few months, and recently switched to a progestin releasing IUD. Even my psych. approved of this because the device releases such small amounts of the progestin andit allegedly remains in the uterus.
Now that I am done with the cramping from this, I am noticing that I am feeling more and more depressed and unmotivated. There are factors in my life that are making me less than happy, and of course, it could always be the old "depressed againe...hibernate till it's over", but I do wonder about anyone else's experiences with mirena.
I've seen a few message boards where otherwise "chipper" women have felt depressed with the mirena inside of them, but I guess I am more interested in the experiences of women like me - who are not "otherwise chipper".Thank you....
Diane
