To humor my pdoc, yesterday I took Wellbutrin XL 300mg instead of my usual 150XL. It seems like I felt a little sleepy all day.
Do you feel calmer and less irritable on 300 instead of 150?
Also - Is there a difference in 150XL and 200SR? Or is 200SR the same as 300XL?
150XL makes me a little jittery and irritable sometimes. Didn't know if that would go away on a higher dose?

These things are very unpredictable. I think that the antidepressent effect will go up when you take 300 instead of 200 mg. Hopefully you will also feel calmer but it's really hard to predict. Wellbutrin is also for ADD so you might concentrate better. If it works well for you, then stay on it because Wellbutrin doesn't have the sexual side effects that the SSRI's have.

activating for them, it made me sleepy. You just never know how it's gonna go until you give it some time for your body to adjust. In about two weeks you should have a good idea of how the 300mg will affect you.
Good luck,
Colleen

give it a good solid try, because if you can make it work i think it's a wonder drug. the formulations are different, whether ir, sr or xl. don't give up if one doesn't work. i respond differently on sr and xl but tolerate ir just fine, and i am happy as a cricket! it's a great med.
