I have found through my time taking Ativan 6mg daily.
It didnt help panic much, only slight at a high dose 4mg, still it really would not wear off.
Ativan makes you just want to sit back, imparment is not very strong, i worked fine on 1-2mg of Ativan, some mental slowing at 2mg.
Klonopin is more difficult to work. Orginization is scrambled, and i feel sometimes 'more' emotionally unstable, just not 'put together'
Ativan i didnt have much of this problem. But in losing my mind, it didnt help much.
Klonopin just makes those thoughts shut up for good. THey havent been back. It is a very moderatly potent in mental action.
But i dont know if i do want to stay on Klonopin.
If i do want ot go back to Ativan just for general anxiety, i dont know how to tell my doctor, now its time to go back to Ativan....
Lord, at least im put together for now.
Can someone tell me something with this

Are you taking the Klonopin all in one dose? Sometimes it helps to divide it into 3 doses. That's what my p-doc suggested. How much are you taking and when do you take it?

That's a pretty high dosage. You might still want to consider diving it into 3 doses to see if it helps before switching meds. How long have you been taking it?

That is a high dose. I've been given two benzos at once before. Maybe a little of both? Fondly, Phillipa

That wasnt as high as Ativan 6mg. I had so severe anxiety i told myself i dont care, i am going gridly insane. Ativan didnt take away the thoughts of that, it caused some release in 'psycical tension' but mental release. Klonopin does relieve mental distress, at the dose i am on. Before we where to switch we where going to CLonazepam 6mg Daily (2mg X 3) but my doctor was a little nuerotic about taking that high dose, so was i. 4mg was recommened.
I dont know if you rerermber back all those intense posts I had. You can find lots of them on the Psychobabble Search Engine.
I have much Ativan left... but i dont take it. I took some last night when i got really depressed, becuase Klonopin will worsen depression. Ativan doesnt really have an effect on that.
I have been taking it for about 2-3 weeks now.

Klonopin makes me depressed. I can't take really more than 2 without feeling my mood falling.
