I was wondering if anyone has switched from cipramil (20mg) straight to Venlafaxine (75mg) and had side effects? This is my first day on venlafaxine, and I expect to have the usual side effects that I experience with SSRIs - like nausea, bizarre dreams, etc. I'm hoping that because I'm already on a SSRI that I won't get many side effects....but any thoughts on this would be much apprecaited!!
In addition, I suffer from 'atypical depression' and does anyone have any experience of the any med that helps? I sleep too much, and have no motivation/energy. I'm hoping that the venlafaxine will help address these smytoms.any info/advice would be great!

Hi,
Just so that people know which meds you're referring to.......
Cipramil is called Celexa in the US.
The brand name for venlafaxine is Effexor in the US, Efexor in the UK.
