Anyone ever been over dispensed a med ie:given more than what was scripted?

I was once given a month's supply of 50 mg. doxepin when the script was for 25 mg. Does that count?

Yep,I was recently given an extra 100+ 5mg valiums than scripted:)
and the other day 121 Valiums when the script was for 120
I always count em.

I could see an extra one or two but over 100 extra 5 mg. valiums??? How does someone make that mistake? That could cause someone in the pharmacy a lot of trouble when they come out short.k

Yep, i sure knew something was wrong when the bottle was kinda full looking, got home counted em, and holy sh*t, a nice prezzie,The script instructions were kinda complicated so i see how it could have happened-there was no number of pills on the script to dispence, only take 2 here, 2 there, 1 and half here and same at night. The poor girl must have had trouble working it out and rushed it.
Lets just say i had quite a few 5mg Vals at home after this:), what with the amount i already had at home. yes indeed.

Ha! I was once dispensed one Valium tablet instead of one weeks supply. That was my doctors mistake though, I should have checked the prescription before I left his office.
At ASDA pharmacy, they once gave me 7 Effexor tabs instead of 4 weeks supply! I went back to complain and they gave me 8 weeks supply by mistake. The pharmacist looked about 100, I think he was a bit past it to be honest. Needless to say, I didn't complain about getting more that I was supposed to.

Once I was given an unverifiable amount of methadone (someone else's, I suppose) when I picked up at the pharmacy. I may have been on anything from 30 to 45, and *might* have been given 80mg or so. Having taken it and become unreasonably concerned, I rang the chenist and had a predictable, unhelpful and defensive conversation. After that I decided to make the best of it and slept half the day and all night. I was surprised that it was more fun than if I had organized it myself.

Gosh I better start counting them. Especially the brandname valium. The pharmacist said a lot of people count their pills. I've always trusted them. I will from now on, count them that is. Fondly, Phillipa
