Hello everyone,
I am new to this board. I found it after doing a search for alcohol and SSRI's. I am glad I found it!
My questions: What is "cycling"? How do I know if I do "it"?
I have recently been labeled with Boderline Personality Disorder. I have been taking Paxil with Remeron but didn't like the Paxil for several different reasons. I did crave alcohol while on it and that is a different thing for me. I tapered off the Paxil and now I am on the Effexor/Remeron mix.Remeron causes weight gain? I have put on some weight. What is something that will help me sleep but not gain the weight?
The whole labeling thing is new to me, too. I am not so sure I agree with it all. But here I am up early in the a.m. obsessing about it. I really felt so alone in all of this until I found this Board. (My SO seems to expect me to just "fix" myself and shows little or no interest in all of this. Because I am the "crazy" one, not my SO. And, therefor, my SO tells me that my feelings are "wrong" because I am "crazy".)
Help! Give me some feedback.

There are a lot of old Threads on remeron causing weight gain and helping with sleep. I think it's low dose remeron to help sleep. Can't remember if high or low with wt gain. I even think there was confusion on the Thread. I did read that paxil can cause alchohol craving. Try a google search on your med combo if you don't get many responses. Fondly, Phillipa

Thanks for your response. I have done a search on "Paxil and Alcohol". It was/is very interesting, to say the least. Knowledge is power.
Thanks for the oil,

Truely, you will be able to obsess here to your heart's content. I seem to have been in front of this computer for months and need a drug that will take me out for some exercise.
