I tried 500mg p.o. of Source Naturals Hoodia extract. It seems to completely eliminate the phenelzine-induced hunger/carb cravings.
A 60ct bottle is $20 at the Vitamin Shoppe, or even cheaper online (check froogle.google.com). I've heard NOW foods is another decent brand.

Wow, I"m going to have to try this again because I tried it, and it didn't do a thing for me. I have a full bottle in the cabinet.

I can only vouch for the efficacy of the Source Naturals brand. I have not tried others, so there may be others that are more effective or at least as effective (I'm sure), but I _know_ there are tons of brands that do nothing on the market.
Beyond-a-century.com has NOW foods capsules, which probably work simply because BAC carries it.
