Seroquel side effects...do they go away?

Posted by tampagirl70 on May 31, 2005, at 13:22:09

I took one dose of 50mg seroquel Friday night. When I woke up Saturday, I was sleepy all day, I was anxious, I had some dry mouth, some minor muscle twitches and I just overall felt like crap. I was afraid to take another dose because I wasn't sure how I'd feel the following day and I didn't want to ruin my long weekend, so I took my geodon instead. Is this normal when starting this med and does it go away, get worse or stay the same?

No, that's pretty much how Seroquel made me feel and it didn't go away. I would be worried about the minor muscle twitches you had. That would be enough for me to stay away from the med.

I'm at 200mgs going up 100mgs every two weeks. The initial disoriented druggy feeling with me took about 3-4 days to go away. I find that I still have a dampening sleepy feeling during the day, but not nearly as bad as when I started out.

Nope, not yet. When I first started the 200mgs it gave me an energized feeling in the evenings before I took my dose, but that went away after about 4-5 days.

Ever since Geodon helped me out my symptoms have not come back nearly as bad even during the two months I was on no medication. Symptoms are there but not as bad.

I only took it for about 3 days. It was supposed to make me sleep through the night. It didn't. Just made me drunk. The funny thing is about a week after stopping it my lips cracked and peeled and my face dried up like a prune. Fondly, Phillipa
