Posted by AQUARIAS on April 28, 2005, at 15:16:51

I JUST STARTED EFFEXER XR 3 DAYS AGO. I TAKE IT AT NIGHT AND I HAVEN'T BEEN ABLE TO SLEEP. I FELL SO RESTLESS. I 'VE HAD NASEUA AND DECREASED APPETITE TOO. I FEEL TIRED AND SLOW MOVING. ANYONE ELSE HAD THESE PROBLEMS IN THE BEGINNING . DOES IT GET BETTER? I ALSO HAVE HAD A DULL HEADACHE.SHOULD I QUIT WHILE I'M AHEAD?

You're probably starting out on a low dosage and that is somewhat like taking an SSRI. 150mg is considered the lowest therapeutic dosage and it will probably be activating for you at that dosage. Take it in the morning at the SAME TIME VERY DAY and give it at least 2+ weeks for the physical discomforts to go away. If you're still having problems at 3 weeks, you may want to consider something eles. I have been on Effexor for almost a year and it is the best best AD I've ever taken. Good luck!
