Last week, my adored Dr CattleProd upped my Wellbutrin XL to 300mg, and left my Cymbalta at 30mg. I've run out of Provigil, so off that for a few days. And I've taken a few days worth of Ambien, but not last night and I think I won't need it again for a bit.
Now for my questions:
I've been having headaches almost daily for a bit now, and he says that that's the increased NE. What's the deal there? Anyone know? I'm less concerned about it, but am curious about the mechanisms.
And then there's my menstrual cycle -- suddenly, my period is lasting for days! It has been about 36 hours for most of my life, now suddenly it's lasting four days, five days? The same sort of thing happened on Strattera, when my period actually turned NORMAL! 28 day cycles, 7 day periods.
Of course, this is complicated by my eating disorder, which may be why my period was so short to begin with. Now that I'm getting treatment for it, that may influence my cycle, too. As might my age.
So, does anyone know anything about girlie things and norepinephrine?
Thanks!

I do know that when I was going through peri-menopause I would get a headache that lasted 3 days and nothing would eliminate it. At about the time of my cycle. Once I went through menopause it went away. Fondly, Phillipa

I know higher doses of Wellbutrin caused me to have daily headaches. I was on a higher dose than you but I wasn't taking Cymbalta at the same time. I suspect you need to lower the dose a bit.

I used the supplemental formulated hormone cream for about 3-4yrs. Since I was over manopanuse, and not having night sweats, hot flashes, and all the contriversary about all hormones, I went off them. Even the compounding pharmacist, female, said she would only take them for a short while. Fondly,Phillipa

I don't think the Wellbutrin did all that much to my actual periods. I was on depakote at the same time and that made them much heavier and longer and with more cramps.

By then it had stopped. The OBGYN had tried numerous times to use conventional hormones on me but I couldn't tolerate them. Fondly, Phillipa
