100mg of Ritalin is approximately equivalent to 60mg of Adderall. What does IR mean? Until recently I was on 102mg of methlyphenidate per day (Concerta / Metadate CD.) I know someone who takes 108mg per day. I have another friend similar age, body type, symptoms, who takes 20mg Adderall when he feels like it.
It is very much a personal thing - good news is that its one of the safest drugs that exist.
Do you trust your pdocs essential competence? Do they specialize in ADHD?

Some prominent ADD/ADHD Docs will dose to 1.5mg kg BW of Ritalin and half that dose of Dex, to control symptoms. I know a bloke who requires 80mgs Desoxyn (20mgs Q.I.D, 5mgs tabs) for basic control, of awakeness, + Provigal 600mgs."Use responsibly"-of course, and under medical guidence.
Cheers

I think that the market share of vanilla Ritalin is dropping . Concerta is much, much better for most people because its blood serum levels interntionally track a profile that reduces the side effects of sudden reduction. And of course both Strattera and Adderall are very heavily advertized and appela for different reasons.

thats what i had used it for but it left me too grouchy. metadate cd worked ok as an add-on and dexedrine seems better in some ways.
