Hi Maxi,
How are you doing?
Non, ceci n'est pas un poisson d'avril, mais s.v.p. jette un coup d'oeil quand même à mes suggestions.
1- Bipolar depression. I think the Desipramine as add-on to Parnate is a very good idea. I took Desipramine in the past. It is a very clean and powerfull TCA.
I used to call it my solid rocket booster. Don't worry for the agitation and/or anger. The Trileptal is a very good safety net for this.
2- For your Thyroid. Take 200 mg of Selenium each day. It will help a great deal the T4 to T3 conversion. More energy, a clearer mind and weight loss are guaranteed.
3- The nasty Candida. Ah! I also fight this beast for years. Fortunately, it exists a cheap solution. Prends 2 à 3 capsules de yogourt chaque jour. Each caps must contains 3 to 6 billions probiotic bacterias. You're gonna feel so much better.
4- Eating disorder and weight gain. I'm sorry i can't help you with the first disorder. However, eating well and "more" for losing fat is the rule #1 in bodybuilding. Yes i know, it may sound counter-intuitive, but your body needs energy to lose weight. Trust me.
Wishing you all the best!

Allo!
Thanks for your suggestions. I do take Selenium already, but I did not know that it helps with the T4 to T3 conversion. For Candida, did you every try any of the more expensive remedies out there? Did you get tested to see if you had Candida?
Merde! I think I will have to increase my trileptal eventually. Did you know that the Quebec medication plan does not cover Trileptal? I had to have my doctor write to the RAMQ for an exemption. But the exemption is only good for the dosage I am on. That means more paper work.
:( Yes, I know the eating disorder isn't helping.
A two-cheek kiss for you my friend. :)

Okay. I never got tested for Candida. 10 years ago the test was not so reliable. But i had all the symptoms. I did take Ketoconazole but i have had to stop due to side effects. Keto was shutting down badly my adrenals.I do have a private insurance. No i was not aware for the Trileptal vs RAMQ. That's just stupid.
Don't forget to take your Synthroid on an empty stomach. That helps a lot.
Bye.
This is the end of the thread.
