Hi Ed,

Thanks a lot for the effort. You provided the answer much faster than the pharmacy, they still answering:)

Well, I looked at the other post by the poster you referred to and checked some other sites. The key for determining the formulation if it's the old or new lies at least in two things that are found exclusively in the old but not new. These are sunset yellow (E110) and talc. So the Nardil I have got, ie the one supplied by Hansam UK and produced by Celltech Uk is the OLD Nardil. I suspected that already from colour and shape.

Not sure how to feel about this, at least I am taking the same formulation that appears to be somehow more effective at least at equivalent doses. or maybe because I am new user to Nardil it won't make any difference really.

BTW, I been to the doctor today. He agreed to get me the Periactin! So I will have it already friday or next monday. Hope it will help. He suggested trying first only 2mg despite his concern it most likely won't do much at that dose range but he is trying to find the minimal effective dose of Periactin.

So would this make you considering Nardil more seriously now, ed?!

Must say, You are great. Thanks again!

Ted.

Hi Teodor!

I send emails to four people last night, I found the addresses on the internet. One person replied. He was from Link UK- the marketing authorisation holder for Nardil in the UK.

>So the Nardil I have got, ie the one supplied by Hansam UK and produced by Celltech Uk is the OLD Nardil.

Your (UK) Nardil tablets seem to be slightly different in composition to both the 'old' US Nardil and the 'new' US Nardil. Your Nardil is individual!

>He agreed to get me the Periactin!

Great! I hope it helps! You don't want to take too much or else you might just fall asleep! I take it that you're just going to be taking 2mg 'when required'??

>So would this make you considering Nardil more seriously now, ed?!

Yes, I would definitely consider taking Nardil or Parnate instead of lofepramine. I don't think my pdoc will prescribe them though :-(

Take care,
Ed.

Hi Ed,

Maybe it's just that they have listed different names for same chemicals? Because the ingredients you got me are expressed more in chemical structure way, but many names exist for such technical names that make them more recognizable generally.

Not sure, I would try to check that now.

Take care
Ted.

Hi,

Funny how you put it:) Yes sex! well on a way. It's to counteract the sexual side effects of Nardil. It's a strong serotonin antagonist. It would help with many medicines that cause delayed orgam or as in the case of Nardil total inability to achieve orgasm. It would also help erectile dysfunction if it is a result of an antidepressant.

It's an antihistamine. I am getting it tomorrow or on monday and I can create a post about its effectiveness. I think many experience such side effects on antidepressants, and good deal of them can be really frustrated over that. In some cases it might lead to difficulty in compliance. So nice to tell others about something they can try!

Bye!

Hi Ted.

Thanks for replying.

I'll be very interested to see how well you do with the Periactin.

Just in case it doesn't "perform", it is the case for many, if not most people on Nardil that the ability to orgasm returns after 3 months or so.
