Well, It's been 4 months on hydrocodone along with Lexapro & dexedrine. The hydrocodone (5mg 4x daily) has worked just that same today as it did 4 months ago. I've still had some depressed times. I'm sure the opiate is helping reinforce the "floor" so it doesn't fall out from beneath me.
I see my resident pdoc every couple weeks and I see my therapist 2x weekly. My therapis isthe best.
I'm still having trouble with work -- but I'm working things out.
Anyway, if anyone would like more infor about my trial of opaites to help with my treatment-resistant depression, please babblemail me or post here. I'll be glad to answer any questions.
Thanks
Jerry

>Hi Jer,
Cool to hear your hydro is still treating your condition as suitably as 4 months ago,
so you are quite happy with things?
Not feeling the need to seek additional medical options?
way to go dude!I hoped my prayers for you would be answered, and it seems they may have been.
Cheers

Hi,
Have you tried low dose selegiline along with an opiate? It seems to increase the effect of the vicodin I'm taking and makes it last longer. Maybe it's just my imagination though.

Yes, the hydrocodone is still working the same as it was - however it's not a miracle treatment. I still have a chronic low-grade depression and some days I have some pretty low moods. Right now I'm having a tough time at work and with my social life - stuff that I'm working with my therapist to sort out.
BTW- I responded to one of your other posts regarding opiates on here and I didn't want you to think I was attacking you or your opinions. Sometimes things get lost in translation.
Thanks again for being there!!!
